Weapon refining

At the Refinement Anvil you spend Refinement Globs to raise the tier of your weapons and armour. The current maximum tier is SSS.

Early levels are easy to climb; the real challenge sits at the high tiers. Every attempt can level the item up… or destroy your weapon.

Refinement Globs come from putting Iron Ore into the Salvage Station.

Aegis Hammer — the insurance

The Aegis Hammer completely prevents a weapon from breaking when upgrading its tier and also stops its rarity from dropping. It is the item that makes refining predictable.

It drops from the daily raids (25% chance) and can also come out of OP Keys.

Sockets

• Punch sockets with the Socket Punch Bench: up to 4 per piece.
• Fill them with Essences for fire damage, attack speed, lifesteal, crits, regeneration and more.
• Strong essences are rare on purpose: more sockets means more power, but much harder to assemble.

Resonances

Combining the right essences in the right order triggers hidden effects, such as calling down lightning on every hit or recovering from death.
